Help for landlords with energy saving improvements...

Citizens Advice 1066 and Hastings Borough Council are hosting a breakfast meeting for landlords about an exciting new energy saving project. The meeting will be at the White Rock Hotel at 8.30am on Thursday 6 July with a free breakfast provided. Landlords are welcome to come along to learn about the support available locally and share the barriers they face.

Citizens Advice 1066 and Hastings Borough Council along with Optivo and others are partners in an exciting European-funded project - Sustainable houses in an Inclusive Neighbourhood, or SHINE for short. The project aims to reduce carbon emissions and energy costs by encouraging people to embrace energy saving techniques and retrofitting homes with energy saving improvements. It is part of the Interreg 2 Seas programme involving communities across the UK, France, Belgium and the Netherlands, with local focus on St Leonards-on-Sea.

Tracy Dighton, CEO of Citizens Advice 1066, said: "Involvement in this project present huge opportunities for the local community. It would be good to share our plans with local landlords and hear their views and ideas."
